Back Pain Felt Better Right Away

JILL T. said…

I noticed something was not quite right about a week after I had my son: I could not walk comfortably around the block with my husband and baby. I began to feel discomfort around 34 weeks pregnant. After twenty-four hours of labor and over an hour of pushing, the discomfort escalated. The diagnosis was symphysis pubis dysfunction---my pelvis began to separate. I never thought to include chiropractic as part of my prenatal care.

On my first visit with Dr. Richart, I was unable to stand upright, but after six days of treatment, that changed dramatically. I was able to stand straight and move with ease, though I still needed more treatment to correct my problem. Over time, Dr. Richart was able to put me back together.

When I became pregnant with my next child, I knew that I did not want to go through all the added discomfort I went through the first time around, so I began visiting Dr. Richart more regularly throughout my pregnancy. I was certain that if I continually had my back and hips adjusted, I would avoid added pains down the line. I even went to see Dr. Richart two days prior to delivery. My recovery after labor and delivery was significantly different with my second baby. I exited the hospital feeling completely normal. I went in for an adjustment from Dr. Richart two days after being home from the hospital, and according to him, my spine and pelvis were in great shape!

I am extremely thankful for the excellent care received from Dr. Richart and highly recommend all pregnant women to incorporate regular chiropractic care during pregnancy. It truly made a world of difference.

I have been a patient of Dr. Richart for over 10 years and must say that the chiropractic adjustments have been a great natural way I maintain my body and health. Over time I have learned that chiropractic adjustments are not just for my back. Chiropractic adjustment is a full body experience. Dr. Richart has adjusted me for headaches, colds, tendonitis, premenstrual cramps, carpal tunnel syndrome, and during pregnancy I have also received physical therapy treatment from his knowledgeable and highly skilled staff.

The reason I like to go to Dr. Richart is because he always has a solution to a problem or pain I'm having. Most of the time an adjustment does the trick, and in some cases he'll suggest a homeopathic remedy, which I much prefer as opposed to prescription or over the counter medicine. My husband, who was very skeptical at first, is now a patient as well. He has been treated not only for back pains but also for knee problems and a broken shoulder.

I trust the opinion and care of Dr. Richart that I also have my children treated by him. From the time they were just a few months old I would take them to get adjusted to help with Colic, sleeping and crankiness. As a new parent there are so many new adjustments and it's nice to know that there is a knowledgeable and experienced doctor such as Dr. Richart that helps me through the times of question and despair.

During my pregnancies, as my body adjusted for 9 months, I would experience various types of pain and discomfort. When I had any issues such as a specific leg pain or lower back pain I would get adjusted. My main priority during pregnancy was to stay active and healthy not only for my unborn child but also to be able to care for the ones I already have. Being a parent, especially a stay at home mom, it is important for me to be active and involved with my children on a daily basis; with the help of dr. Richart my pregnancy was much easier than with I could have expected.

Presently I am pregnant with my third child and just as with my previous two pregnancies, I continually receive adjustments by Dr. Richart during my pregnancy. I give credit to my chiropractic adjustments for my comfortable pregnancy, smooth labor, and fast delivery too. The only comparisons I have are stories form other women who don't get adjusted by a chiropractor. The pains I have are more subtle and brief. I truly believe that because of the adjustments made by Dr. Richart I was able to deliver without any medication such as an epidural.

In addition to Dr. Richart, the staff at Richart Spinal and Sports Rehabilitation is very friendly and welcoming, Dr. Richart and his entire staff continuously attend seminars and continue training to maintain their knowledge and keep updated with the current health and chiropractic industry. It is a growing office that I enjoy going to with my family for treatment because I know that my family and I are receiving the best treatment and care. I highly recommend Chiropractic treatment from Dr. Richart at the Richart Spinal and Sports Rehabilitation office, because it simply works. Dr. Richart's Chiropractic adjustments are full body adjustments that help maintain our bodies and health. I believe that regularly maintained visits are beneficial to my health and to my family's well-being.

Friendly office. I've been to other chiropractors but this place is my favorite. The atmosphere is great and they really seem to care.I hurt my back lifting a planter three days before I was leaving for vacation. Dr. Richart got me in immediately. Long story short. I was able to go on my trip with just a slight ache in my back. He has evening and Saturday hours and even gave me his home phone number and cell phone number in case I had trouble on my trip.

I recommend him to all of my friends and neighbors. He also takes my insurance which is a plus.…

If you are looking for a doctor that cares about you as a person than this is the place! The staff is amazing. You are greeted with a smile. They genuinely care about their patients. Dr. Richart is a great chiropractor! I have been coming here for several years now. I tend to be a "tough" patient because my body doesn't respond like most. But Dr. Richart really monitors my progress and is always there to help. What doctor gives his patients his cellphone number. That is how much he cares for his patients well-being. I tend to react strongly to adjustments, so a little goes a long way with me. The Pro Adjuster is great for me in that aspect! I used to only like manual adjustments several years ago, but now I prefer the Pro Adjuster. The Pro Adjuster is gentle and still produces the same results as a manual adjustment. I have had several abdominal surgeries. The Pro Adjuster still allows me the freedom to get those much needed adjustments without putting pressure on my abdomen. He takes insurance. Good location. Parking is easy. And he runs on time. I highly recommend Dr. Richart.

Very pleased with this chiropractor. I saw Dr. Richart when my low back went out after shoveling snow. He got me in the same day I called. He used a computer to adjust my back which was painless. He also adjusted me manually which was fine. He was very thorough during the exam and didn't rush. He and his staff seem to really care.

It was busy in his office that day but you wouldn't know it. He got me in early the first day and I rarely waited more than five minutes on my follow up treatments. All told it took about three weeks to get me back to normal. He also gave me exercises to do that helped a lot.

His office was hit by a car in early November. He is working temporarily out of another space in his building. He says he is moving there permanently. The new address is 900, not 908 Waukegan. It's the same building just at the other end.

All in all I was very pleased with Dr. Richart and would recommend him highly.

Wonderful Chiropractor!!!!. I came across Dr. Richart as a final attempt at getting rid of the back pain I was having. I searched "top chiropractors glenview" and Richart Spinal and Sports Rehab was on the list. It was by far the best move I've made. After seeing five other doctors and getting no where I was shocked when I felt relief. Dr. Richart took the time to not only understand the pain I was having but to figure out the underlying issue.

Everyone at the office is friendly, but most importantly caring! If you're anything like me, going to see any doctor is brutal, you spend more time in the waiting room than you do with the doctor. Dr. Richart's office is probably the only place that doesn't require me to mentally prepare! They have always been able to take me the day I call to go in, not having a prior appointment and I've never had to wait. If you're looking for a chiropractor that is very knowledgeable, professional, and kind, look no further! Dr. Richart and his staff are wonderful!
